My UX Portfolio

During my seven course Google UX Design curriculum I was tasked with developing and executing on three different projects. Please find detailed information below about these projects.

As I have been doing web design professionally for some years now, please see real-world examples of my work at my company's website.

Food Truck App

Project One

Throughout the project, I conducted extensive user research to understand the needs and preferences of taco lovers. Using wireframes and prototypes, I iteratively refined the app's interface, focusing on intuitive navigation, seamless customization of orders, and effortless payment options. The feedback received and the iterative design process helped me fine-tune the app to align with both business objectives and user expectations.

Exploring the Turbo Taco Ordering App project will give you a glimpse into my early journey as a UX designer and how I embraced the design thinking process to craft a delightful user experience. While Turbo Taco itself may be fictional, the skills and insights gained during this project set the foundation for my subsequent ventures in the UX design field.

Feel free to delve into the details of the Turbo Taco Ordering App project below to understand my design process, key learnings, and the impact of user-centered design on creating a seamless ordering experience. If you're interested in learning more or discussing how my expertise can benefit your organization, please don't hesitate to reach out.

In this introductory project, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of UX design and gain hands-on experience in the entire design process from start to finish. Although Turbo Taco is a fictional taco truck based in Chicago, the project allowed me to apply user-centered design principles and create an engaging ordering app for a delightful taco experience.

Project Two

Movie Website

For the second project in this certificate program, I had the opportunity to design a user-centric website for a fictional independent movie theater located on the north side of Chicago. I decided to call it Uncle Charlie's Movie House, which is a reference to Joseph Cotten's character in my favorite Hitchcock film, Shadow of a Doubt.

Throughout this project, I immersed myself in the world of UX design and applied my skills to create a seamless online experience for moviegoers. From start to finish, I engaged in extensive user research to understand the specific needs and preferences of our target audience.

Using wireframes and prototypes, I iteratively refined the website's design, focusing on providing detailed movie information, intuitive navigation, and a straightforward ticket ordering process. Incorporating user feedback and industry best practices, I aimed to deliver an engaging and consumer-friendly platform that sets Uncle Charlie's Movie House apart from other theaters.

By exploring the Uncle Charlie's Movie House project, you'll gain insights into my design process, key learnings, and the impact of user-centered design on creating an informative and enjoyable movie browsing experience. While Uncle Charlie's Movie House is a hypothetical theater, the skills and knowledge acquired during this project have prepared me for real-world challenges in the UX design field.

Feel free to delve into the details of the Uncle Charlie's Movie House project to discover how I crafted a website that meets the needs of movie enthusiasts and supports informed ticket purchasing decisions. Project Three

Community App Project

For the final project in my UX Design certification course, I was tasked with building an app for the betterment of a community. While it was a pretty broad prompt, I immediately knew what app I would build. While the first two projects were tied to fake businesses and were simply a way for me to learn the UX design process, this third project was notably different; through the research process - most notably competitive audits and user feedback - it became clear to me that I was iterating on an app idea that is fairly unique and has real-world market potential.

Because of its potential market viability, I am unable to publicly disclose the project details on this website. However, I would be thrilled to provide more information and showcase the project directly to interested individuals. If you are an interested party, please feel free to contact me directly. I would be delighted to discuss the project in further detail and share my design process, research insights, and outcomes.
